Holiday houses at Tekapo are subject to strict Council guidelines which all
homes should adhere to and as such Stay Tekapo Holiday House (ST) has a zero
tolerance policy for those not adhering to the Terms and Conditions of the
stay. Your booking and stay is subject to and will be bound by the following
terms which you need thoroughly read and understood before submitting your
booking.
SUMMARY:
· Valid
credit card is needed to confirm any booking.
· Valid
credit card as guarantee is needed when check in.
· Full payment
is needed before check in.
· Payment by
credit card incurs 3% bank surcharge, cash or NZ Eftpos no surcharge.
· Check
out time is before 10am, late checkout fee is $80.
· Lost
keys replacement fee is $50.
· Excessive cleaning
surcharge is $60/hr.
· If number
of guest staying exceed the allowed number of guests of the house without ST’s
pre approval, extra guest will be charged at $100/person.
· House
quiet hours observed between 10pm and 7am.
· Visitors are
permitted but can not remain on the property overnight.
· Total
price will be charged if
cancellations or alterations made within 14 days before arrival.
· ST accepts
no liability if for any reason the property is withdrawn from ST’s management
and we had to obtain alternative accommodation.
· Smoking inside
house will be fined $500 plus other penalties.
· Pets are
not permitted to stay in any property.
· Basic amenities
will not be replenished during your stay.
· Caution must
be taken on all tile areas, wooden or tile floors and outdoor areas
as they may be slippery when wet.
· BBQ cleaning
fee is $50.
· Bedding
configurations need to be confirmed at time of booking, and subject to
availability.
· Minimum
stay applies during peak season, cleaning fee of $50 may be charged
for 1 night stay during peak season.
FULL TERMS & CONDITIONS
CONFIRMATION:
Your booking is not confirmed until valid credit card
details are provided to secure the booking.
PAYMENTS:
We accept payments by cash (bank deposit), eftpos, Visa and
Mastercard Card.
All credit card transaction will incur a 3% surcharge.
Full charge for your stay must be paid in full before check
in;
CHECK IN/OUT:
You must notify ST of expected arrival time and a mobile
contact number on the time of booking.
Check in is from 3pm-8pm. Please contact 021 082 38182 to
make check in arrangement when you arrival Lake Tekapo.
Like all hotels or motels in New Zealand, a valid credit
card is required on your check in, even the room has been prepaid. This credit
card guarantee will only be exercised if you damage anything in the house or
use the property irresponsibly (smoking inside, drugs, parties or excessive
cleaning required after check out).
Check out is before 10am on the day of your departure. A
late checkout at 11am can be arranged but not guaranteed. Please check with ST
when check in. A late checkout (after 11am) incurs a $80 fee.
CLEANING AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES:
On your check out. All food must be removed from fridges,
all rubbish put in the appropriate recycle (yellow), waste (red), glass (Blue,
glass only) council rubbish bins provided, and to wash and dry your own dishes
or put them in the dishwasher (if there is one) for our housekeeper to turn on.
All furniture and furnishings must be left in the position they were in when
you arrived. If the house is left in an excessive untidy state. This includes
evidence of pets, smoking, and parting in the house. Guests may incur a
cleaning surcharge of $60/hr.
If damage to property through carelessness or negligence is
evident after your stay, ST will charge the cost of repair or replacement back
to your credit card. Please report any damage or breakages immediately to ST.
Lost keys may result in a minimum replacement fee of $50
being charged to the credit card.
OCCUPANCY LIMITATIONS AND RESPECT FOR NEIGHBOURS
Each holiday house has specific occupancy limits and rules
of conduct, and these are strictly enforced. The number of adults and children
to occupy the rental home must be stated at the time of booking and must not
exceed the allowed number of guests. $100/person will apply for excess
guests not agreed with ST in advance. Any misrepresentation regarding
number of guest or intention of your stay may result in eviction and loss of
monies paid.
Property boundary, privacy, and the quiet enjoyment of
neighbours are to be respected at all times, with quiet hours observed between
10pm and 7am each night. Increased occupancy, vehicle traffic, excessive noise,
or illegal activity, will result in a $1000 penalty, eviction, and the
forfeiture of all prepaid rentals. ST has a security team who will promptly
respond to any calls from neighbouring residents in relation to these issues.
VISITORS:
Visitors may visit you at the home but may not remain on the
property overnight. Visitor numbers should not exceed 10 at any given
time unless by prior written arrangement. All Visitors must comply with
the Terms and Conditions and House Rules.
CANCELLATION:
Any cancellations or alterations made within
14 days before arrival, the total price will be charged. Please note ST accepts
no responsibility for weather conditions nor road closures. All no-shows
will be charged the full amount as booked. No refund is given if you decide to
leave a day early or reduce number of guest.
UNAVAILABILITY AND UNFORESEEN
CIRCUMSTANCES:
The house owners will make every effort to ensure the
property is available as booked. However, the owners reserve the right to
withdraw their property for its sale, make alterations to the booking due to
personal use and/or allow tradesmen to have access to the property to
facilitate any repairs if necessary. Because this is out of ST’s control, we
accept no liability, financial or otherwise, if for any reason the property is
become unavailable, or withdrawn from ST’s management before or during your
stay. In that event, ST will inform you immediately and endeavour to obtain
suitable alternative accommodation for your occupancy; failing which any monies
paid will be refunded in full.
Events beyond our control, such as poor weather, power cuts
or unforeseen electronic breakdowns, do not give the tenant the automatic
entitlement to a discount, unless such event has prevented the tenant from
being able to safely occupy the property altogether and ST are unable to
relocate the tenant to a property of equal size and standard.
PETS:
Pets are not permitted to stay in any property except
service dogs.
SMOKING:
Smoking is prohibited inside of all Stay Tekapo’s holiday
houses. A $500 penalty fee will be charged, PLUS any extra cleaning fees,
eviction, and the forfeiture of all prepaid rentals.
HOUSE AMENITIES AND FACILITIES:
While every care will be taken to make sure house amenities
and facilities work properly. ST does not guarantee that the amenities and
facilities that are listed in any of the houses will be continuous or fault
free. In the event that something is not working at the property e.g. TV/Spa,
Wifi not working etc. ST will endeavour to have it repaired as soon as
possible, however no refund will be made.
Basic amenities such as complimentary tea, coffee, milk and
toiletry are provided at the start of your stay. However, they will not be
replenished during your stay. If you wish to get more of those items, a callout
fee of $75 will be charged.
BBQ:
If there is a BBQ at the property, and it is used. There
will be a cleaning fee of $50. Gas Bottle and re-filling is guests
responsibility, it can be hired from ST office for $5/night
LOST PROPERTY:
Any lost property retrieved can be mailed on to the contact
address we have on file at guest expense, A minimum fee of $25 handling fee
plus postage and packaging will be charged to your credit card.
BEDDING CONFIGURATIONS:
Guest need to confirm at time of booking if bedding
configuration requirements differ from advertised in the listing. Bedding
configuration is always subject to availability - bedding configurations are
not guaranteed, although ST will make every effort to accommodate. Any request
to change the configuration upon arrival will result in a callout fee of $75.
MINIMUM STAY:
Minimum night limitations may apply during peak season. One Night Stay can be
booked during such period with a cleaning surcharge fee of $50.
LIABILTIES:
Guests indemnify and shall keep indemnified ST and the owner
against all loss, damage, expenses and penalties howsoever caused or incurred
to the guest; any member of the guest’s party; or any visitor to the property,
arising out of or in connection with the use of the property. Guest must lock
all doors and windows when you leave the property and it must be secured at
night. You must notify us immediately of any damages, breakages or
concern. The house owners and ST takes no responsibility for your
personal property during your stay.
